Fantastic news … we are going to build the extension to the ISURU Preschool !!

In November I informed you about our plans for the extension of ISURU Preschool with a nice outbuilding containing a teachers’ room, library, computer room, adult toilets and waiting area for the parents.

Partly due to a number of very generous donations from our Patrons and 3 donations from Dutch Funds that previously supported us, we have collected the intended amount and transferred it to Wilde Ganzen, who in turn will add 50% to the promised amount and thus 150% will transfer to our partner in Sri Lanka, the Sevalanka Foundation who will supervise the construction, just like the construction of the new school in 2016.

Because of Covid I will not be able to travel to Sri Lanka myself for the time being to check the construction from time to time, but I have a daily contact with our project manager on site Mr. Krishantha. He will be my eyes and ears and provide me with photos and updates that I will then share with you. This worked perfectly during the construction of the school and I am 100% confident that this time it will also be a very successful collaboration.

I hope that by the time construction is complete we will be able to travel again and celebrate the end result with our children, staff and ISURU team.
